McLuck Casino has a plethora of slots to play for Gold Coins or for Sweeps, but what do you do when you run out of both? Well, you can always buy more Gold Coins and get some Sweeps for free in the process. But if you’re on a budget, there’s a small number of slots that are always available, even when your Coin balance is down to crumbs.
Sweepstakes and social casinos differ from real-money casinos in a number of ways, one of which is that they don’t require a deposit to play. Although most slots at McLuck have a GC and SC minimum, there are currently four offering endless free play. To find these games, look for “Unlimited Play” at the bottom of the Social Casino Games menu.
These games have a 1 GC minimum, so are they really unlimited? Yes, because your Gold Coins can never actually fall to zero while you’re playing these games. As soon as you drop below 2 GC, McLuck will top you up so you can keep on going. The amount seems to vary a little bit, but is around 25 GC to 30 GC for each top-up.

Getting the most from McLuck’s unlimited play slots
Today, we are going to take a first-hand look at four different unlimited play casino games offered by McLuck Sweepstakes Casino.
The four games in question are all slot machines. Each has a 1 GC minimum, but some allow you to double that and play for 2 GC per spin.
- Hercules and Pegasus
- Candy Stars
- Fruits & Jokers
- Lady Fortune
The lowest minimum we’ve seen for regular slots at McLuck is 50 GC, so that’s your target if you want to get back to regular play. On the other hand, live dealer Gravity Blackjack has a 5 GC minimum, so you could also take your free coins and try to double up a few times there.
Also, some of the unlimited play slots have a Buy Feature option, starting at 100 GC. So if you can spin your free coins up high enough to try your luck on the feature, that’s another way to start rebuilding.
Hercules and Pegasus
Hercules and Pegasus by Pragmatic Play is, for better or worse, very basic. The five-reel and three-row game only has 20 paylines and a high volatility.

There are some features to bring Hercules and Pegasus into the modern age. Zeus will appear from time to time and add random symbols to spice things up. There are also two different types of wild symbols with one being Hercules and the other is Pegasus. Lastly, there are three free spins features that are triggered by bonus symbols.
Hercules and Pegasus slot machine is a great balance between modern and nostalgic.
Candy Stars
While Candy Stars might seem like the most delicious option on this list, I found it to be the least engaging of these four unlimited play casino games.

The five-reel slot machine with three rows seems simple enough, but there are quite a few features packed into it such as free spins, a tumble feature, wilds that stick, and the top row works differently than the rest. None of these features are inherently bad, but it feels like Pragmatic Play developers overengineered this slot machine title.
While it might have been my least favorite, it is very likely someone who likes a complicated slot machine game will enjoy the nuances of Candy Stars.
Fruits & Jokers
Whenever I think of a classic slot machine, joker symbols, some cherries and a few lucky 7s are precisely what I imagine. If you like that nostalgic style of slot machine and want an Unlimited Play option, look no further than Fruits and Jokers developed by Playson.

When trying out Fruits & Jokers for myself, I felt a sense of old Vegas back when slot machines were simple, and the sights and sounds were not meant to overwhelm the player. Pairing that vibe with a low volatility slot machine that anyone can play for as long as they would like is a wonderful concoction for a relaxing time playing a slot machine. There are 100 paylines in total, five reels and four rows.
Too many slot machine games have lost the plot, but Fruits & Jokers knows exactly what type of game it is: fun, relaxing and straight-forward. That being said, if you want a bit of excitement in your life, this is almost certainly not the casino game for you. For example, the only wager allowed is a single Gold Coin so do not expect any big wins.
Lady Fortune
For a much less classic feel, Lady Fortune by 3 Oaks is a strong option with its cascading style slot machine mechanics, unique paylines and significantly higher volatility.

Most slot machine paylines are based on location, but Lady Fortune throws out that idea. Instead, the number of winning symbols is what matters—what’s known as a scatter pays game. If there is a symbol with eight or more matching symbols anywhere across the six reels and five rows, the player wins. Anything less than eight matching symbols and the player is out of luck… until the next spin.
When it comes to selecting how much to wager, there are only two options. You can wager one Gold Coin like all other unlimited play slot machines. Additionally, there is another option known as the Play the Feature which is a button you turn off and on from the right side of the game. That ups the wager to 1.25 Gold Coins which could lead to bigger multipliers. As I was playing, I was having a trouble finding any reason to not use this feature. Why not increase the potential big hits when playing for free anyway?
