International Game Technology (IGT) announced that its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, signed a seven-year contract extension with the Georgia Lottery.
Thanks to the contract extension running through September 2032, the company will deploy its online and physical lottery products and technology. The aim of these deployments is the modernization of the Georgia Lottery’s offerings.
Contract extension to the Lottery’s plans for future growth
As part of the agreement, IGT will install cashless functionality on more than 10,000 point-of-sale retail terminals, enabling remains illegal in Georgia.
IGT will also add self-service ticket scanners on more than 10,000 retail terminals. These upgrades will integrate QR codes, digital playslips and other digital offers.

IGT also plans to install over 4,400 new high-performing Retailer Pro lottery terminals and related equipment in retail locations. Furthermore, the gaming company will replace 600 self-service vending machines currently in the field with its GameTouch 28 self-service vending machine.
IGT will deliver upgrades to the Georgia Lottery
IGT says it is the primary technology provider to eight of the world’s largest 10 lotteries. IGT also claims to provide services to 16 of the world’s top 25 lotteries.
As Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Lottery emphasized:

IGT plans to deliver upgrades to the Georgia Lottery’s online lottery central system with the advancements including the ability to migrate components of each system to the cloud. Players can buy tickets for select draw-style games on the Georgia Lottery mobile app and website.
Alongside many benefits, cloud technology would offer the Georgia Lottery “dynamic scalability and a reduced time to market for system enhancements.” It also enables faster and easier integration of data and insights as a further development to the overall player experience.
