If there was a rookie of the year for gaming software providers in the United States, Play’n GO just might win.

The Swedish company announced today it has launched its suite of popular games in the Michigan online casino market via its partnership with BetMGM. Play’n GO COO Magnus Olsson said he believes the future of online casino play is set firmly in regulated gaming.

“We believe strongly that the future of the industry will be in regulated spaces, and so it’s with considerable pride that we are able to bring our content today to one of the first states in the US to really grasp the regulated iGaming opportunity–Michigan,” Olsson said.

Play’n GO’s Michigan launch comes just a few months after it made its US debut in New Jersey.

Play’n GO plans to launch multiple games in Michigan

Legal players within Michigan state lines have access to any game launches that Play’n GO provides through BetMGM. At present, the company offers Xmas Joker, a holiday-themed, three-reel game with five fixed pay lines. The game has been a staple for the company since it debuted in 2015.

Play’n GO noted that it will soon offer more Michigan online casino games including:

  • Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead: Based on an Indiana Jones-type character that’s seeking treasure in Egypt.
  • Riche Wilde and the Tome of Madness: Another adventure-style game that’s based on a novel by H.P. Lovecraft.
  • Crystal Sun: A jewel-themed game with 10 fixed paylines that produce winners going left and right.

The company notes that it is on track to launch more than 50 new slot titles in 2022.

Olsson said the company’s push to create new games and expand its presence in the US is a win-win for them and BetMGM.

“Our teams enjoy nothing more than working closely with our partners to help them achieve their business goals using our content and expertise,” he said. “Launching today in Michigan with BetMGM is another fantastic step forward in our partnership.”

Play’n GO continues its US expansion

Play’n GO has embraced the “go big or go home” philosophy this year in the US market. The company made its way into two of the country’s biggest gambling markets: New Jersey and Michigan.

The company went live in New Jersey on Sept. 7 via a partnership with PokerStars. At the time, CEO Johan Törnqvist made it clear that the Garden State launch was just the first step in what the company hopes is a journey to becoming the top iGaming partner in the country.

“Our goal is for Play’n GO to become the preferred partner of operators in regulated states across North America,” he said.

The company is all-in on the U.S. market partly because America is a massive revenue generator. Also, Play’n GO is confident it will see more states launch online casino platforms in the next one to two years.

The company’s partnership with BetMGM, which it finalized at the end of October, is a critical part of its plans. In addition to its presence in the United States, Play’n GO operates in Europe, Ontario, and Latin America.
